PARENT WORKSHOPS
These free workshops are aimed to teach parents why and how to support their child's chess.
The Intro to Chess workshop is designed for parents who are new to the chess sphere. Presented by the Orlando Chess Academy, you will discover the diverse benefits of chess beyond the stereotypical links to math and science (including time management and analytical skills), why parental support is such an important aspect of your child's chess improvement, and why your child should consider playing chess competitively.
The Advanced Chess workshop will be presented by GM Lars Bo Hansen and WIM Jen Hansen of the Orlando Chess House and is designed for parents whose children are already involved in chess.
