This scholastic chess tournament is intended for all chess players ages 18 and under with the exception of complete beginners. The event is NOT USCF-rated.
Duration: 11:30 - 13:45
Time Control: Games are played with a time control of 15 minutes per player
Who Can Enter?: All chess players age 18 or younger
Prizes: Trophies for the top three finishers. All players will receive a participation medal.
Registration: This is a FREE event. Players must register in advance to participate in this tournament. There are two registration options:
- Online using the form below by Saturday, January 14
- At the venue between 11:00 and 11:20 on the day of the event (January 15)
Rules
This scholastic tournament is NOT USCF-rated. However, the USCF tournament rule of "touch-move" will apply.
Parental Responsibility
Parents or guardians must be responsible for their children during this tournament. The event organizers and assistants are absorbed in running the event and therefore are not able to act "in loco parentis."
Please note that photographs will be taken at the event which may be used for publicity purposes.
