WORKSHOP FOR CHESS TEACHERS

My first chess teacher taught me... Chess is one of the most rewarding fields to teach. We know this for a fact. Approached the right way, chess teaches about life. About planning ahead, taking responsibility for own decisions, and dealing with own mistakes. About when to take chances and when to play it safe. About time management, resource management, and the value of sacrifice. From the very first chess lesson, wisdom can be stretched beyond the chess board. Soon enough your will hear them say: My chess teacher taught me ...

This mini workshop is for School Teachers who wish to be real great at teaching chess. We will be presenting winning teaching strategies that work.

For teachers who are bringing students with them, there will be a separate skittles room (with adult supervision) for the children to play chess while the workshop is taking place.

Duration: About one hour
Registration: Participation is FREE. Knowledge of the chess game is recommended. You are not expected to be an expert!
Presenters: Jen Hansen (International Master in Chess and Educational Psychologist) and Lars Bo Hansen (Grandmaster in Chess, PhD, College Professor)
